How To Measure

We at Bridaltique know that wedding dresses can be a little smaller in size compared to some high street brand sizing, and for that reason we have stated the bust/waist/hip/side length measurements on all our dresses.

Please wear the intimates you are planning to wear on your wedding day when trying on our dresses. (Some dresses are better worn without bras as they include internal support).

Bust

With a tape measure held perfectly straight around the body, and at the fullest part of the bust, take the measure at this fullest point and record.

Waist

Tie a piece of string or elastic around your waist and move around, and bend slightly.  This movement allows the string /elastic to find the ‘natural waistline’ – usually the smallest part of the waist. Then take a tape measure and position it on top of the string/elastic and loop the tape all the way around, again keeping the tape parallel to the floor. Record the measurement.

Hip

Ideally with a second person, take the measurement at the fullest part of the bum and loop the tape measure all the way around, again keeping it parallel with the floor. Record the measurement.

Side seam length

Again ideally with a partner, and wearing no shoes this time, place the end of the tape at the underarm, and let the tape measure fall to the floor. Record the measurement. NB the type/height of shoe you will wear on your wedding day will need to be added to this measurement.

You can then use your measurements to compare to the garment measurements on our website dresses and look for a match, if you require any help on this, please contact Bridaltique.
