Our Second Wedding Dress Photo Shoot…..It’s hard to believe it’s already been a year since our first photo shoot! At that time, we shot at The Woodhouse Barn, a truly beautiful location. But now that we have our own shop, it felt right to host our second shoot right here. A lot of planning went into making sure everything ran smoothly this time around—especially when it came to matching wedding dresses to our models’ sizes. Each wedding dress was re-steamed and carefully organised, so we could grab them quickly and get the models ready without a hitch.
We made a few changes to the space as well, including moving some of the rails to create a larger working area on the main floor. My sewing supplies were moved out of the downstairs room to make room for extra chairs for hair and makeup, ensuring everyone had enough space to work comfortably.
For this shoot, I was lucky to work with a talented group of local businesses. Zoe Prince was our photographer, Jess Kenniford worked her magic with makeup, and Yvette Evan and Alys Morris were in charge of hair. Our stunning models, Carly Jones and Tanya Williams, were fantastic to work with. The day kicked off early with hair and makeup, and everyone was in great spirits as we worked together to get the best looks.

Zoe had already mapped out how she wanted the models to pose, keeping in mind the lighting and the background. This time, the whole process felt smoother, more relaxed, and even more fun—definitely a result of what we learned from our first shoot.
We numbered the wedding dresses to make the process easier, so when the models changed, they would show the number to Zoe. That way, the dress could be easily identified in the photos. We’d initially planned to shoot both upstairs and downstairs in the shop, but the upstairs lighting was perfect, so we decided to stay there for all the photos. The best part? The changing room was right next to the photo area, so we could keep everything moving quickly.
Both Carly and Tanya were amazing, and with Zoe’s expert eye behind the camera, she captured the dresses beautifully. Now, all that’s left is uploading everything to the website… that’s my next big task!
